Rotary International have approved adding a new area of focus: supporting the environment. More than $18 million in grant funding has been allocated to environment-related projects over the past five years. Creating a distinct area of focus to support the environment will give Rotary members even more ways to bring about positive change in the world and increase our impact.
To support this new initiative The Rotary Club of Dapto has decided to form an environmental group. The Sunday Enviro and Coffee group (SEC).
The last Sunday of the month at 11am, the SEG volunteers meet at the Park in Lakeside Drive and clean up rubbish in the local area. Then we have a coffee at a local coffee shop, combining our working bee with some fellowship. We will combined these activities with 'Rise and Shine' and 'Clean Up Australia'.
