Illawarra LoveBites Flying Squad — Facilitator Training
Illawarra Rotary Clubs, lead by the Rotary Club of Dapto, is hosting free facilitator training for the Illawarra Love Bites Flying Squad, a new initiative bringing NAPCAN's (National Association for Prevention of Child abuse and Neglect) respectful relationships education program to high schools across the region.
Funded by Dapto Leagues Club through a ClubGRANT, this project trains volunteer facilitators to deliver trauma-responsive relationships education to young people, helping them recognise warning signs and build healthy relationships — a critical step in preventing domestic and family violence in our community.
Training runs over three days at Dapto Leagues Club, 9:00am–4:00pm:
- Tuesday 17 & Wednesday 18 November — Trauma-Responsive Love Bites (Senior program)
- Thursday 19 November — Junior Respectful Relationships Training
Please signup for both courses so you can teach across the school years, unless you already have an up to date qualification in one of the course.
No experience is needed and all materials are provided. In return, we're asking facilitators to stay flexible and available to join the ongoing Flying Squad roster, delivering sessions in schools across the Illawarra from Term 1, 2027. Find out about Love Bites
